We have organized tours to major government research laboratories located in the Capital.  Come out to meet other graduate students and learn about these cutting edge facilities!  Pre-registration for the tours is required and will be available on-line.

Graduate students will have the opportunity to tour some of the Institute for Chemical Process and Environmental Technology facilities of the Government of Canada’s National Research Council (NRC).  The NRC pursues cutting edge research and development with a mandate to help build Canada's innovation and technology capacity, support the growth of Canadian industry, and to uncover solutions to national challenges in health, climate change, the environment, clean energy and other fields.

Natural Resources Canada Tour (NRCan)

The CANMET Energy Technology Centre (CETC) has a mandate to develop and demonstrate energy efficient, alternative and renewable energy technologies and processes.  CETC-Ottawa’s clean energy expertise includes alternative transportation fuels and technologies, bioenergy, solar, small hydro and wind, catalytic and membrane process technologies, clean fossil fuel technology and clean power generation, CO2 capture, energy efficiency for buildings, communities and industry, high temperature processes for the steel industry, and hydrogen and fuel cells.
